Is it disqualifying? Practitioner responses to criminal offenses in hiring decisions
There is considerable variance in the factors that impact whether someone with a criminal record will obtain employment, such as age, race, gender, education and experience, combined with the type of conviction the applicant has. The authors discuss this variety of factors based on a survey of employer reactions to applicants with different criminal backgrounds.
