Occupational Licensing and American Workers

Lower wages and higher unemployment for unlicensed workers and decreased mobility for licensed workers suggest there are large social costs to licensing. Comparing licensed to non-licensed workers, this article provides data to show exactly how licensing impacts wages, employment and mobility.
